I’m an editor, writer, and expert question-asker. I received my B.A. from Stanford in 2009 and my Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 2017, where my dissertation focused on race, capitalism, and public feelings in the United States. In the past I’ve designed, taught, and co-taught courses on Chicago cultural history, the American Dream, income inequality and literature, and methods of digital historiography. I hate semicolons and love em dashes. I live in Chicago with my soon-to-be wife and already-is dog. We eat too much salmon.
